As head of communication, Gian-Andri Casutt is responsible for the internal and external corporate communication of the Board of the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology ETH Board and coordinates the political communication of the ETH Domain with its Federal Institutes of Technology and the four research institutes. He is an expert in strategic science communication with more than 15 of experience. He was Head of Communication at the University of Fribourg and positioned and implemented communication as a key strategic governance tool for the University’s Executive Board. Prior to that, he was Managing Director at the Swiss Institute for Children's and Youth Media, co-Director of the Foundation Science et Cité and Vice-Director of the Foundation Mercator Switzerland. During his career, he has been Director of the Board for various science and research organizations and has developed a deep expertise as well an extensive network in the worlds of science, politics, non-for-profit and society. He is lecturer in further education and teaches science communication. Gian Casutt owns a Master Degree in Contemporary History, Journalism and Communication from the University of Fribourg and a graduate degree in Strategic Marketing from IMD Business School.
