Markus Berger is the head communications and media spokesman for Switzerland Tourism since November 2016. He is responsible for all internal and external communication activities and media relations of the Swiss tourism marketing organization with representations in 23 markets all across the globe. He also advises the board and management on the communication strategy of the organization. Before he has been responsible for all communication activities of Andermatt Swiss Alps AG – the largest development in Swiss tourism – for four years. His main areas of focus were Investor Relations and Corporate Publishing at a national level, in addition to international Media Relations. Prior to that, Markus Berger spent 15 years as a communications consultant, and also managed the SPRI Swiss Public Relations Institute for five years. He holds the PR Consultant federal diploma as well as an Executive MBA from Zurich University.
